Activist Boniface Mwangi apologized to nominated Senator Millicent Omanga on Thursday, 17 December, after the two were involved in a heated online argument.
In a post on his Twitter page, Mwangi admitted that he had disrespected himself, his friends, and the people who believed in him by engaging in the fight.
“I get insulted every day and rarely do l lose it. Yesterday l lost it. I am sorry to everyone l offended. I am sorry to Millicent Omanga too. I was out of line,” Mwangi stated.
The public argument surfaced online on Wednesday, 16 December, after Omanga shared a meme that had been used to refer to her body. The legislature claimed that a section of Kenyans had used the post to troll her.
Mwangi responded by criticizing the work of the lawmaker, claiming that she had risen to the ranks in controversial ways.
These sentiments provoked Omanga who hit back by calling Mwangi a socialite activist who relies on donations.
