The Blues opened  their Carabao Cup campaign with a spectacular performance against Barnsley with a 6-0 win.

The Londoners decided to run riots of a goal scoring spree after a defeat in the hands of Liverpool on Sunday.

Tammy Abraham finally scored his first goal after having a drought of goal scoring for a while. The young English international scored a sneaker after Barnsley defenders made a mistake 19 minutes after kick off.

Kai Havertz got his first goal, second of the match in the 28th minute with an assist from Mason Mount following Tammy’s dummy run that confused opponents’ defenders.

The 2-0 lead stood as the difference into the halftime. Ross Barkley scored Chelsea’s third goal in the 48th minute after Kai tackled one defender resulting to an assist.

Havertz’s second half brace sealing his hatrick came in on the 55th and 65th minute both assisted by Tammy Abraham as the duo showcased a prolific performance.

Olivier Giroud headed in the winning goal in the 83rd with a teasing assist from Ben Chilwell who was making his debut as a Blue.
