The former Nairobi County Health Executive Dr Robert Ayisi has passed on. The news that has been shared through the Star’s twitter account read, “FORMER Nairobi county Secretary and Health CEC Dr Robert Ayisi succumbs to Covid-19”
Dr Ayisi who had worked as Nairobi County Health Executive had also worked as the county secretary under the former governor of Nairobi, Evans Kidero.
Governor of Nairobi, Mike Mbuvi ‘Sonko’ had earlier in the week stated that Dr Ayisi had already succumbed to Covid. Taking to his twitter he said, “It is with great sorrow and sadness that I announce the death of Dr Robert Ayisi……. He will be remembered for his role in streamlining the health sector in Nairobi county. My deepest condolences to his family, relatives and friends,” read part of Sonko’s tweet.
This news caused such an uproar on social media leading to Sonko apologizing for the misinformation.
