A 48-year-old female was yesterday rushed to the hospital after she took the initiative to swallow four sachets that were believed to contain heroin.
The victim who is identified as Pauline Mugure decided to do the unthinkable when detectives wanted to arrest her for drug trafficking.
However, she did not want to give the detectives an easy task of bringing her into book by throwing what would have been used as evidence into her mouth and swallowed them.
This incident left detectives bemused since none of them anticipated she would pull something like that to avoid arrest. They however rushed her to Moi County Referral Hospital in Voi for medical examination.
It did seem that she had not escaped the hook as more sachets containing the substance were found in her house located at Maweni Estate after a thorough search.
The 48 year old lady will be charged with drug trafficking after the doctors give the green light.
