The Ethiopian Airlines’ Boeing 777F with registration number ET-ARH caught fire on July 22, after landing at Shanghai Pudong International Airport in China from Brussel.
The cargo plane had just landed and was being loaded with Cargo for Santiago via the capital city of Ethiopia Addis Ababa.
In a statement by the airline, the cause of the fire that burnt down section of the fuselage is still under investigation.
“The plane caught fire while loading cargo at pudong International Airport. It was on a regular scheduled Cargo Service from Shanghai to Sao Paulo, Santiago via Addis Ababa. All ground staff and flying Crew are safe,” said the airline.
The fire was however contained moments later by the firefighters.
