Yesterday was World Tourism day which coincided with the opening day for the Mama Ngina waterfront park in Mombasa. The relaunch of the park held the first concert which saw countless number of people show up proving just how much they had missed the raves.

Some of the artists who were scheduled to perform at the event include Otile Brown, Masauti, King Kaka and Khaligraph Jones who has been very vocal about the resumption of concerts. This came only a few weeks after artists had been ranting of how unfair it was that politician  were allowed to hold rallies while they were still not hosting concerts out.

Other than just the rave, the park was launched with cycling too which saw many roads with Mombasa city closed.

The park had been closed for renovations that cost around Shs 400 million on the 26 acre land to build and integrated modern tourist attraction site overlooking the Kilindini Harbor.
