The Jubilee Party appealed to candidates intrested in vying for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat to send their applications for the party’s ticket.
This follows the IEBC’s notice of a by-elections for the governor’s positions to be held on 18th February 2021.
Political parties planning to take part in the by-election were directed to submit the names of the persons contesting in the party primaries and the dates of the appointments on or before Monday, 28 December.
The 9-page application form requires, among other documents, letters of resignation from other parties and a CRB clearance certificate.
Members of the Jubilee Party were informed of the development via a press statement on the website of the Party.
IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati stated that there will be a campaign duration for Nairobi’s top seat between January 18, 2021 and February 15, 2021.
Political parties planning to nominate candidates for the by-election will have until 11 January 2021 to send a list of nominees after all intra-party conflicts resulting from the primaries have been resolved.
