The Jubilee party has summoned all the 65 Nairobi MCAs for an urgent meeting ahead of Friday’s election to vote for a new speaker.

The new speaker will replace Beatrice Elachi, who resigned on Tuesday 11 August claiming she was being threatened.

The party secretary-general Tuju, directed the majority whip Paul Kados to invite all the Nairobi MCAs to attend the meeting at the party headquarters in Pangani.

“In light of the current development at the Nairobi County Assembly, you are required to attend a consultative meeting of all Jubilee elected and nominated at Jubilee Headquarters in Pangani at 12 noon on Thursday August 13 2020 without fail,” Tuju said in a letter.
