Kabuchai MP Dies At Nairobi Hospital

Kabuchai Member of Parliament James Lusweti has passed on at the Nairobi Hospital where he was receiving treatment.

Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula confirmed Lusweti’s death on his social media page, mourning him as a hardworking and loyal leader.

“It’s with profound shock and sorrow to learn of the passing on of Hon James Lusweti Mukwe, Kabuchai MP. He will be remembered as a hardworking and loyal member of Ford Kenya party who served his people with utmost honesty, commitment and accountability,”  Wetangula wrote.

However, the cause of the illness was not disclosed.The MP’s body was taken to Lee Funeral Home.

Three weeks after the lawmaker was airlifted to Nairobi in May this year after his condition worsened, he said he had a serious case of gout with swelling from his toe to knee.

Lusweti first joined the National Assembly as an MP after his victory in the March 4, 2013 general election.
