A Kenya Defense Force Senior officer was on 5 Jan arrested for allegedly defiling a 16-year-old girl who was headed to school.

The victim is said to have been rescued by police officers after an accident that occurred on Nyeri-Mweiga highway around 6pm while on their way to school after committing the heinous act.

According to the central Region boss Agustine Nthumbi who confirmed the incident during the court session on Wednesday 6 Jan, the KDF officer is said to have volunteered to drop off the young girl in school.

The 16-year-old is said to be a distant relative to the military officer. Things took a wrong turn after the officer decided to book a lodging at Kiriani Market where he allegedly committed the act.

It is then that they proceeded with the journey but was arrested after being involved in an accident and the traffic police officer stationed along the highway visited the scene and demanded to know the relationship between the two.

The minor who was in the car confessed to them the whole incident hence leading to the arrest of the KDF officer while she was taken to Nyeri county Referral hospital for examination to ascertain the claims.

The officer was set free on a ksh 200,000 bond after denying the charges of defiling the minor.
