Ann Kiguta a journalist at K24 who has been hosting the Punchline show for a while now, was to host Miguna Miguna on the show yesterday, when things seemed to have gone opposite after he cancelled on attending the show. The show had already advertised on hosting Miguna Miguna who was to talk about referendum, the Covid-19 pandemic, Kenya’s Roads and his view on reopening the economy.
A few hours to the real thing, Miguna Miguna took to his Twitter handle where he posted that he will be cancelling the show.
He said that the show had already been scripted since the TV station is owned by Uhuru Kenyatta. Therefore Miguna Miguna did not want to compromise his principles.
His tweet read:
“I’ve cancelled my appearance after your last-minute attempt to dilute the important national issues @AnneKiguta and I had agreed to discuss on #Punchline. I know despot Uhuru Kenyatta owns @K24Tv and has pulled a fast one. I’m not willing to compromise my principles. #uhurumustgo”
Miguna Miguna’s fans have congratulated the self proclaimed General on standing by his principles while at the same time dragging the Punchline down under over the scripted interviews.
