Two people including a senior police boss have died following heavy floods experienced in Kericho county.
According to a police report launched at Kipkelion police station, there was a vehicle that was swept on Friday night around 2030hrs.
The officers on duty are said to have arrived at the scene where a Mercedes Benz, grey in colour which was said to belong to Kipekelion DCIO Chief Inspector Joseph Ngoche was being swept away.
Chief Inspector Joseph was in the company of unknown female when their vehicle was being swept away by moving water from a seasonal river which had flooded.
Their bodies were taken to Kericho Hospital mortuary awaiting for postmortem.
