KNEC Refuses Students From Changing Examination Centres To Avoid Confusion

The Kenya National Examinations Council has ruled out that every student will undertake his/her exams where he/she registered at in order to avoid confusion.

The 1.9 million KCPE and KCSE candidates will be required to do the exams at the respective centres they had applied in.

According to KNEC, they claim that having a new exam registration process will disrupt the exams that are supposed to be carried out come March next year. But still owing to the pandemic, KNEC has allowed the students to transfer to any school of their choice given that they will take the exams where they had registered in.

This comes at a time when parents had changed schools for their children to more affordable schools or schools that were closer and less congested giving room for all the Covid 19 rules to be observed.

The government has recently come out to plead with principals not to send the students home over fees as they sought out a way to get things back normal.
