The Standard Group media stations which include KTN Home, KTN News, BTV,  Farmers TV and radio stations Radio Maisha, Vybez Radio and Spice FM had their transmissions interrupted causing the TV channels and radio stations to go off air for two hours.

The only service that was accessible was the audio-visual content on the Standard website.

“This is to inform our viewers and listeners that we are experiencing a technical hitch affecting our TV and Radio signals on our broadcast platforms,” the company explained.

The technical problems were overcome when the engineers sorted out the issue with the transmission system.

“All our TV and Radio services are now back. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the technical hitch we experienced and sincerely thank you for staying tuned in,” read a statement on their social media channels.
