Recently a story hit the headlines when a woman named Wanja Mbabu was caught milking a neighbour’s goat. The woman said she had nothing to feed her kids with due to the current tough times caused by the ongoing pandemic (covid-19).
She also depends on her husband who can no longer provide for the family hence making it impossible to get food.
The Irate villagers in Tharaka Nithi were outraged by the act and put a tyre round her body ready to set her on fire. Luckily She was rescued by good hearted fellow villagers who pleaded with the crowd not light her up.
Today, well wishers alongside High profile criminal-lawyer Cliff Ombeta paid her a visit in Tharaka Nithi where they donated clothes, food stuffs and other goods.
Cliff Ombeta has lately bee helping the helpless. In a recent incident, he was seen helping a woman who was bullied on Twitter after she urged Kenyans to support struggling children.
