Luis Suarez has finally agreed to leave Barcelona after acrimoniously terminating his contract allowing him to leave as a free agent.
Despite interests towards him from Juventus, it appears that the striker has resolved to joining Spanish side, Atletico Madrid.
The anticipated departure of the Uruguayan striker means that Alvaro Morata will be heading to Juventus on a loan with an option to buy permanently from Atletico Madrid.
Suarez had been widely expected to make the move out of Camp Nou after new Barca boss Ronald Koeman made it clear that he did not feature in his plans.
The 33-year-old was facing an anxious wait for a passport to be approved ahead of the Transfer window closing on October 5, and Andrea Pirlo admitted over the weekend the transfer would be ‘difficult.’
According to the Italian outlet Gazzette, Juventus’ boss said, “Suarez is difficult because the times to get a passport are long, it is complicated that (our new striker) can be him.”
