Residents of Botigi village,Kisii county have been left in shock after one of their villager was murdered and his blood drank before the suspect escaped.
The suspect who is identified as Kennedy Keraka is said to have speared 38-year-old Daniel Mauti in the heart before drinking blood.
According to the residents, the deceased was on his way to collect a debt when he was brutally attacked.
The angry villagers retaliated by burning the suspect’s 12-roomed house in the neighbouring village.
According to the deceased’s brother, the suspect is a known criminal who lived in one of the Nairobi slums and visited his rural home occasionally.
It is said the perpetrator’s wife and four children fled their home immediately after the murder incident.
It is also said both the victim and Suspect had no any no beef or quarrel that would have escalated the sad incident.
