On Tuesday, October 20, a man from Naivasha, Nakuru County, strangled his three-year – old son to death before killing himself.
The guy, identified as Daniel Kyallo, is said to have committed the horrific act after more than five years of quarrel with his wife.
The area Assistant Chief Simon Koskei, stated that Kyallo had been through tough times before the incident, something that may have led him to kill himself and his son.
“Those close to him said he appeared disturbed after the wife left their matrimonial home a week ago,” stated the Assistant Chief.
Mr.Koskei reported that the victim killed his son first by suffocating him with his hands and then using a wooden ladder to lower the body into a pit latrine that was still under construction, after which he then tied a rope on the same ladder and hanged himself.
“He strangled his son and then used the ladder to dump his body in the pit latrine before using the same ladder to hang himself,” said Mr. Koskei.
