Mbagathi Road To Be Closed For Two Days By KURA

The Kenya Urban Roads Authority has issued a public notice on construction work set to disrupt traffic along Mbagathi Way Nairobi.

It said a section of the road will be closed to motorist as from Saturday August 29 to Sunday 30 August 2020 6am to 6pm.

The partial closure is set to allow a contractor on the site to complete the installation of a footbridge truss.

The entire section between Kenyatta National Hospital and City Mortuary towards Ngong’ Road Junction will be shutdown.

Alternative routes have been provided to guide drivers using the road as motorists were urged to adhere to the directives given by the traffic marshals.

Those heading towards Daystar University using Mbagathi way will have to make a left turn at the shell petrol station and use Mtongwe Road and Muchai Drive to get Ngong’ Road.

To reach KNH, motorists will have to use Mbagathi way to get to the upper Hill-Mbagathi Link road before joining to Hospital road.

Those heading towards defence forces memorial Hospital  Nyayo Highrise Estate and T-mall from Ngong’ will use Mtongwe Road before getting back on Mbagathi way at the shell petrol station.

KURA however, apologizes any inconvenience caused.
