MCAs Cause Drama at City Hall Over Allocation of Funds to the NRMS

There has been so much happening in Nairobi county ever since Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko signed some county functions to the national government.

The changing of Nairobi County to a metropolitan headed by former General Mbadi has caused a stir in the Nairobi County assembly.

First, Sonko moved to court to stop the decision he signed in an agreement between the county of Nairobi and the National government claiming that he did not understand the deed clearly.

Today morning a couple of members of the county Assembly caused drama at city hall over allocation of 26.4 billion Kenya shillings set to be passed by the MCAS.

Rowdy youths that caused drama are believed to be hired by Abdi Guyo to disrupt the meeting and stop them from accessing their chambers. This lead to couple of county assembly members spending the night at city hall.

According to nominated MCA June Ndegwa, the MCAs planned to pass the budget in favour of Governor Mike Sonko.

“The pro- Sonko team wants the budget allocated to the Nairobi Metropolitan area be split by half. They had planned to come early and block the rest of us from accessing the assembly,” she said
