Naomi Campbell turned heads as she took to the catwalk at Paris Fashion Week on Monday evening, debuting the fall-winter women’s wear collection from Nigerian designer Kenneth Ize.

What took the event was when super model ,Naomi  stepped out in the Kenyan flag designer dress to close the show.

The supermodel was on hand to help Ize make his Paris Fashion Week debut after previously modelling his women’s wear range at Arise Fashion Week in Lagos.

Kenneth hopes his show will not only inspire budding fashion designers from the African continent.

But also generate enough business to train more pele in Nigeria where he makes his signature plaid fabric, inspired by the aso oke cloth woven by the Yoruba people.

Though he works with just five weavers, Ize is building a center in the western Nigerian city of Ilorin that will double as a production unit and a training facility.

“We’re also fighting for the weaving to be in the Nigerian school curriculum,” said the designer, who wants his team to stage presentations in public schools.

Naomi went on social media to congratulate the African designer for the huge opportunity and for making his debut.

Congratulations Kenneth Ize on you first show in Paris today . I’m so proud of you .Campbell wrote .

According to France 24 ,Ize told newsmen that he is living his dream .He also revealed that Campbell made it happen and stated that she is his fairly godmother.
