Nigerian actress Chacha Faani explains why she stopped using so much makeup and filters.

Charity Eke, popularly known as Chacha Eke Faani, is a Nigerian actress from Ebonyi State. Her rise to fame came when she starred in the 2012 drama film, The End is Near

Chacha has explained the reason for her massive weight loss and decision not to use make up and filters.

The mother-of-three said that she faced society pressure to meet the society standards of beauty that she was using almost any product recommended to her.

But the products made her suffer breakouts, made her skin lighter, and dug a hole in her pocket.

She said that her desperation to keep up with Instagram standards made up but anything that beauticians could find.

She added that she was also tired of living a lie by editing her photos and using too much makeup. She also said that most of those who look perfect on social media do not look anywhere close to that in real life and that she was tired of the “audio beauty and scam.”
