Police were caught on camera assaulting the member of county assembly Methiu Musyimi of Mlango Kubwa Ward
The police were seen clobbering and dragging her as she fell on her feet. she later sustained injuries on her hand and other body parts.
The incident took place at city hall today as Members of the county assembly alleged to be allies to Governor Mike Mbuvi sonko stormed the premises in an attempt to oust Speaker Beatrice Elachi.
The police were then called to contain the situation but failed as the incident ended up with fights as tear gas canisters were thrown to disperse the members of the county assembly.
Police have once again found themselves on the receiving end as netizens came out strongly to condemn the barbaric act.
