Police officers were forced to watch a suspect get saved after they chased him into a church. The congregation refused to allow the police to arrest the man until he was prayed for.
The suspect had thrown stones at the officers who were in a patrol van in Kiminini, Trans Nzoia County.
Attempts to apprehend him resulted in a hot pursuit of the man seeking refuge at the Assemblies of Grace Church.
One policeman went after him on a motorcycle while the rest followed in a police vehicle.
The congregation protected him from the policemen who stormed the church demanding to arrest him.
The police had to wait for five minutes for the clergy to lay his hands on the suspect’s head and lead him to Christ. The pastor asked the man to confess before handing him over to the police officers.
He was handcuffed, placed in a waiting van, before being taken to the Mutangale Police Station, where he recorded a statement.
