President Uhuru Kenyatta has revoked the appointment of Treasury CS Yattani’s wife Gumato Ukur as the chairperson.
According to the Gazette notice dated Wednesday 14 October, the appointment of Gumato as the chairperson of the council JKUAT Was revoked effective October 16,2020.
The president rather replaced her with the Ambassador Mahboub Maalim, who is the current chair of Kenya Power board.
She had been appointed by Education CS George Magoha in November 2019, to serve for three years.
This revoke came after she was appointed on the same day as a member of the Taskforce on Standards and Quality Infrastructure Reforms in Kenya.
The appointment was gazetted by Agriculture CS Peter Munya who was serving as the Trade CS at the time.
