Raila Odinga has lately been battling with health issues that saw him go to Dubai for surgery. Even though he is winning the fight against the disease, sources close to him revealed he is taking a two week break from politics.
The Orange Democratic Leader will be at his home in Karen for the two weeks. Mbadi, who is Raila’s close confidant said they don’t want to put their leader in a situation where he will be risking his health.
“We don’t want to put Raila in a situation where he goes back to the office and it is going to be crowded,” he said.
When asked what this will mean to the Building Bridges Initiative, Raila’s closest confidant stated it won’t stop the BBI plans from taking place. An anonymous MP stated he will come forth to state the next move for BBI.
“Baba is in Nairobi where he is expected to spend the coming days. State House will announce the next move on the BBI activities by the principals. But he will take time to rest because political gatherings are banned but will hold virtual meetings with other leaders in Kenya and Africa,” said one MP.
