Suspected Fraudster Nabbed At JKIA In An Attempt To Flee The Country

Businessman Innocent Oundo Silling has been taken to police custody after he was nabbed by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport

The DCI disclosed that the man identified as Innocent Oundo Sillingi was arrested as he prepared to leave for Dubai.

“Detectives based at JKIA arrested Innocent Oundo Sillingi as he was preparing to leave for Dubai following a stop order given by DCI Headquarters on 24 February 2020,” reads the statement.

The businessman was accused of obtaining Ksh10 million under false pretenses during his tenure as the director of Project Capital Solutions. He promised to supply the project and working capital

“Mr Sillingi acquired over Ksh10 million as a director of Project Capital Solutions by falsely pretending he would arrange for letters of credit, discounting of suppliers’ document facility and credit financing program,” reads the statement.

The DCI disclosed that the investigation of the matter was underway and that the suspect would be charged accordingly.
