The former Garsen Member of Parliament Danson Mungatana and his co-suspect have been released on Sh 20,000 bail, pending investigations into suspected fraud.
The two were to be arraigned next week Tuesday 18 August after being arrested by detectives on 11 August at a city hotel where they had met.
The arrest was made after Mungatana was implicated in a scheme to con a woman under the aspect of linking her to be awarded a tender.
Nairobi police commander Rashid Yakub told the press the documents that had been presented by the woman were fake.
