When they began their filming last year in Nairobi, Some parts of Thika road were closed down and Motorist were left stranded due to road closure. Even though the highway authority announced the closure many didn’t get hid as Hollywood guys were in town and busy doing their thing.
Sense8 is a science fiction drama series powered by the American movie site Netflix popularly known for series like [highlight]House of Cards[/highlight] among others.
It is created, co-written and directed by [highlight]The Matrix Triology[/highlight] creators Andy and Lana Wachoeski.
It tells the story of eight strangers from different cultures and parts of the world who actually share a violent psychic vision and suddenly find themselves telepathically connected.
Sense8 has been shot in 8 different countries including UK, Germany, South Korea, Iceland, Mexico and Kenya. In Nairobi, it was filmed in different locations including the Globe Flyover (Ngara), KICC rooftop and Kibera.
The series featured Kenyan actors Chichi Seii, Biko Nyongesa, Lwanda Jawar, Peter King Mwania and Paul Ogola
The 12 episode season 1 will become available for streaming from June 5th, 2015 on Netflix.
