Tourism CS Najib Balala Revokes Pauline Njoroge’s Appointment Over An Old Facebook Post

Sad for the Jubilee blogger, Pauline who was recently appointed to the Tourism Board as CS Balala revoked the appointment.

It is claimed the reason behind was an old Facebook post where she had talked about the Nairobi National Park.

This comes when citizens complained of her earlier post that advocated the park be put into development. In the post Pauline had argued the park be dismantled and land be put into “better and more profitable use”

“The only selling point of that park is that its the only ‘national park in a capital city in the world’ beyond that glamorous tittle what else does it offer?…,” part of the post read.

Her revocation came barely 24 hours after the appointment of the position and has been replaced by  KTN journalist Najma Ismael.

While revoking the appointment, Balala stated they were unaware of Njoroge’s stand on the value of the park.

In a statement released by CS Najib;

“I am revoking Pauline Njoroge’s appointment as a Board member of the Tourism Regulatory Authority because we have just seen what she had tweeted in the past that Nairobi National Park was useless. We do not want to be associated with such people and thinking,’ said Balala.
