University Vice Chancellors Propose A Tuition Fee Increment For Government-sponsored Students

University Vice Chancellors have proposed a tuition fee increment for government-sponsored students  from sh 16,000 to 48, 000.

The administrators debated that the current fee being paid was adopted 1989 when the expense of maintaining education for a single student in a year was estimated to be sh 120,000.

According to the VCs, the cost has increased to sh 254,000 hence the need to  rise the tuition fee paid the students.

This proposal is to be implemented almost immediately if adopted by the council and approved by the Ministry of Education.
