Willy Paul’s name has been on the headlines lately for all the wrong reasons. Recently a fellow Gospel artist Bahati famed for the song Barua, accused Willy Paul of stealing his raw lyrics and rushing over to produce them. Not sure why he took so long to come forth but the Sitolia hit maker took to his facebook page to express his feelings.
This is just a challenge that my Lord God is putting me through.
He said. Even though many of his fans have seen him to be mischievous and taking advantage of Bahati’s polite nature, the singer tried to compare his situation the one of Christ saying that:
In this I will not give up no matter what… ata Yesu alikataliwa kwao… today.. I might be called all sorts of names.. deep inside me i get hurt. Human beings can lie easily to fellow humans but no one can lie to God.”

On his last sentence, he appears to be suggesting that Bahati lied when he wrote a public letter requesting him to stop stealing his lyrics. He went ahead and said:
Today I took a look at all my past updates and realized that 99% of the comments I get are abusive. But you know what??? Willy Paul will never give up.. I know the Lord is with me always and I know He’s watching my next move… thank you Lord for showing me that you are the only one I can count on… Amen.
We pray and hope that all gospel artists remain ministers of the word of God through music and avoid getting caught in unnecessary scandals.
