Residents of Kegogi village in Marani, Kitutu chache North Constituency set on fire a 28-year-old man’s house after he was allegedly found raping a neighbour’s wife.
It is reported the 28-year-old identified as Patrick Orina waylaid the woman when she was heading to her house after taking a bath in a communal bathroom.
He allegedly knocked out the victim so as to overpower her before he sexually began assaulting her.
According to the neighbours, they heard the woman screaming and on arrival at the her house they found the mother of five being assaulted by the man.
It is said he managed to escape to an unknown destination as they launched a search for him. Neighbours claim that it was not his first time being accused of engaging in sexual offenses.
“Sometime back, he was caught having sex with a neighbour’s goat. We forgave him after he vowed never to commit any other form of sexual offense,” said one of Orina’s neighbour.
