TSC Announces Over 15,000 Teachers Promotion Vacancies

Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced 15,226 promotion vacancies for teachers across the country.

Nancy Macharia, TSC Chief Executive Officer, announced vacancies for Deputy Principals, Senior masters, Senior Lecturers, Curriculum Support Officers, Head Teachers and Deputy Head Teachers.

According to the commission, 6,680 senior master IV positions are vacant, 2,111 primary school headteacher jobs and 1,765 deputy headteacher II positions.

1,590 deputy principal III, 1,096 deputies principal II, 1,341 for deputy principal I, and 291 curriculum support officer II are up for grabs. Other positions include 350 senior master IV and 45 senior lecturers IV.

“Pursuant to its mandate, the commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the posts in line with the career progression guidelines for teachers. Interested candidates, who meet the required qualifications, should make their applications online through the TSC website,” read the statement by TSC in part.

The commission further issued an application deadline for January 13, 2021.
