Tuskys Supermarket Kisumu Branch Shutdown Over Rent Arrears

Tuskys supermarket chain store located at United Mall in Kisumu has been shutdown over rent arrears amounting to millions.

It is said the retail chain store owes 26 million to the landlord, according to an auctioneer familiar with case.

Small shops which are part of Tuskys have also been affected. They include Safari Optica, Ufangamano Christian bookshop, Tuscom among many others.

It is also claimed security officers were deployed to keep an eye on the premises. Workers got stranded as Victoria Blues Services auctioneers closed the supermarket.

The mall manager however declined to speak on the issue claiming he was out of office for two weeks. Tuskys United manager also declined to comment on the matter.
