Lawyer Cliff Ombeta is on the case of murdered person Wycliff Vincent Oduor an alleged suspect of the Standard Chartered Bank ATM money heist .
Mr. Oduor was out on a Ksh.500,000 bond following his arrest and subsequent arraignment over a 2019 incident where he is said to have led a team of criminals that stole ksh 72 million
G4S personnel that were on duty claimed that they were escorted by impostors that robbed them at around six am on the fateful day in Nairobi west.
The G4S personnel were told to surrender their phones before the thugs offloaded the cash in their vehicles after they had called headquarters for passwords.
Wycliffe Vincent was murdered on Wednesday and detectives on patrol say there were responding to a distress call from members of the public at Kayole junction where they found the gang terrorizing and robbing area residents.
They reported that murdered suspect defied orders to surrender and, instead, engaged the officers in a gunfire exchange that left the said suspect dead
Detectives said they recovered a pistol and a kitchen knife from the felled suspect, adding that the other two gang members escaped on a motorcycle but a hunt for them is underway.
Cliff Ombeta has been the lawyer to Vincent Oduor and recently when he was murdered ombeta took on social media showing an identified man and policemen on a quarrel.
Ombeta insisted that his client wasn’t shot but murdered in cold blood and posted it on twitter
