A 68-year-old man has been rescued from his brother’s house in Ololoito area, Narok North where he had been incarcerated for five years.

Emmanuel Turere, who was disabled after being involved in an accident, has been under his brother’s distress care till his rescue.

The worrying condition of the 68-year-old was discovered by Narok MP David Ole Sankok and police officers who raided the home of Saningo Turere, Emmanuel’s brother.

According to Narok North sub-county police boss, Fredrick Shiundu who led the raid, Emmanuel Turere was found in a bad condition; urinating and defecating on the same place without proper care.

Emmanuel was rushed to Narok County Referral Hospital where he is receiving medical attention. It is reported attempts of his only daughter, Virginia Siololei to visit him were blocked by relatives.

It is then that she alerted local police officers and MP Sankok, who represents persons living with disabilities in the National Assembly.

Trouble began when he consigned his portion of land to the daughter against his brother’s wish who had high hopes of inheriting it.

Two people are said to have been arrested in conjunction with the incident and investigations have been launched.

The MP assured them of justice as he sought services of a top lawyer to take up the matter.
