Two men suspected to have murdered two people at the Leijona Lifestyle Center in Kayole, Nairobi County, on 17 September 2020 were captured on CCTV footage.
They were alleged to have stabbed a guard and an IT expert after an argument ensued between the two parties.
The commotion started when the suspects were restricted from entering the building. They wanted to have access to the lifts leading to the gym and the rooftop, where they allegedly wanted to take pictures of the Nasra estate.
Joseph Maingi and Dennis Nyabuto were stabbed and injured while trying to stop the two from entering the building. Neighbours took the two to Mama Lucy Hospital.
However, the nurses on duty were unable to admit them following the medical strike that was taking place in the county at the time.
Later, they were rushed to the Metropolitan Hospital, where one was pronounced dead on arrival, while the other died later the same night.
The victims suffered injuries to their stomachs, legs, and chest, resulting in death from bleeding.
Police officers are still searching for suspects caught in the video of the CCTV.
