Michael Karimi a 35-year-old man was sent to an early grave over claims he defiled a 3-year-old at Kambe Market area in Kiambu county.
A mob that responded to an alarm made by the little girl’s mother stoned him to death.
They hurled stones, used crude weapons and logs on the man who was caught on the act with the child in his house.
It is reported her mother resorted to a search after noticing her child was not with the rest of the kids at the playground.
The deceased’s body was taken to Kiambu level 5 Hospital as investigations of the incident were launched.
