A police has been arrested for allegedly defiling a 4-year-old at Komomange village in Kuria west, Migori county.
Kuria west sub-county police commander, Cleti Kimaiyo said the officer identified as Harrison Joseph has been on the run since the incident occurred in July 24, 2020.
The officer was arrested yesterday after the incident was reported at Kehancha police station on July 24.
The suspect is being held in custody at Kehancha police station awaiting to be arraigned in court on Monday 24 August, 2020.
It is also said the minor was treated at Kehancha Sub-county Hospital and was discharged. This arrest came amid rising concerns over rampant cases of child abuse in Kuria region.
