Chief Magistrate Escapes From Court After Suspect Threatens To Beat Her Up

A Mombasa chief magistrate was forced to flee to safety after a suspect who was arraigned in court today turned violent.

Chief Magistrate Ednah Nyaloti was forced to escape after the suspect, Ismael Mustafa threatened to beat her up.

Suspect Ismael who was facing defilement charges attempted to attack her shortly after arraignment to answer to the charges.

Magistrate Nyaloti who was terrified of the tall, dangerous man on showing up in the open court warned the security against letting him as he at one point tried attacking her.

“Don’t let him off, ensure he is handcuffed. He has tried to attack me before,” said Ednah Nyaloti.

Before she had completed her statement, Ismael threw the prison warders down and charged towards her.

Aware of the danger, she was forced to stand and flee through the back door. The security came to her rescue and whisked the violent suspect away.
