Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi, has claimed President Uhuru Kenyatta has plans to sponsor coastal leaders to form their own regional party ahead of the 2022 Election.
In a post on his Facebook on March 24, the vocal Tanga Tanga lawmaker said the head of state wants to employ divide and rule tactics in his quest to remain relevant by empowering ‘tribal chiefs’.
“I have always been telling Kenyans of Uhuru Kenyatta’s dirty political tricks. He now wants to sponsor Coast leaders into having their own regional party. Despite governor Mvurya’s different political ideology from that of Hassan Joho and Amason Kingi, Uhuru still wants him to be part of formation of a village party,” Sudi noted.
The lawmaker noted the president had done the same in Western Kenya and Eastern while ‘pretending’ to unite the country.
