Communications Authority of Kenya is on the neck of the controversial blogger Cyprian Nyakundi, writing to web.com to delete his content from his website terming them malicious.
Nyakundi has taken to twitter displaying the alleged letters addressing this issue for netizens, and this was what he noted,
You won’t believe it.@CA_Kenyawrote to web. com requesting them to delete articles from my site because using their wisdom, they had concluded to they are malicious. This is a bad precedent.
“if CA believes something I posted in my blog is defamatory or malicious, why not enjoin in court. No back-door. The Safaricom department must cease and desist. Fight the small bloggers out there, as for me, I know this industry well and you are small people to me” he quoted.’
The controversial blogger has been in and out of court for allegations of slander and related cases of exploitation and extortion.
last week there was a directive from the DCI for Nyakundis arrest citing that he had absconded a court order.
Unless the court gives a clear directive there is a thin line between freedom of expression and speech in Cyprian Nyakundis world of blogging.
