The DP william Ruto has come to the aid of a family to help them clear a hospital bill of a mother and son who were injured during an attack at their home in August 20.
According to Chinga Ward MCA, Kiruga Thuku, while speaking to a local daily said the DP was shocked shocked on hearing the incident which claimed the life of the boy.
It is said he was a form four student awaiting to resume school and sit for his final exam. On the fateful night thugs attacked a family and found Grace Nyambura, wife to Andrew Gicheru and her son Obadiah Mwangi.
The gang first attacked Grace’s room where the son heard commotion and ran to help only to meet the cruel armed gang.
Both were attacked with knives but the boy succumbed to injuries hours later. The two accrued a huge medical bill.
“I discussed this issue with Deputy President William Ruto last Saturday evening who was utterly shocked by the unfortunate incident and he instructed me to go pick the hospital bill incurred by mother and son today morning at hospital and which he helped fully clear, to the pleasant astonishment of this family, their friends and relatives,” Narrated Hon. Kiruga.
