president Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy William Ruto haven’t been the best of friends as compared to 2017 . This has led to DP Ruto opening what he calls the ‘Jubilee Asili Centre’ that has been trending since yesterday. This comes as a surprise move to many political leaders and even citizens.
The name is said to have been handpicked to remind the President and his team of the manifestos that they had promised Kenyans. “Yes, it was to tell them that they have a responsibility to implement the Jubilee manifesto that brought the party to power in 2013 and 2017,” said Emmanuel Talam .
According to Elgeyo Marakwet senator, Kipchumba Murkomen, he said that the new centre won’t run parallel to the other Jubilee party, but rather will be a place for all members. “We had a meeting with the DP at the Jubilee Asili Centre. It is a centre for all members, not parallel. It is the centre for Jubilee Party members who believe in the original idea of the party, including the implementation of the promises we gave to the people,” Kipchumba Murkomen said
Many netizens are speculating that, the main reason why DP Ruto opened the centre was to make it his headquarters for the coming 2022 elections. While others think its a way of him taking down dynasties. Overall Kenyans have gone all out in support of the Deputy President.
