Nandi County Governor, Stephen Sang, has revealed that five family members were admitted to in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), in Nandi County, due to covid-19 complications.
The Governor advised Nandi residents to observe the covid-19 prevention regulations, using the family of five as an example.
“Corona is real. The family members are all admitted to the ICU, and it started with the father who went drinking in a pub and when it was time to close, he opted to hide with other drinkers in an enclosed space.
“The hospital bill will not be less than Ksh5 Million for all of them and all this could have been avoided,” the Governor stated.
Mr. Sang further added that the county had already set up Intensive Care Unit facilities and that Nandi county has so far confirmed 151 cases as of October 21.
This case comes shortly after shutting down Nandi County Headquarters for 14 days after eight staff members tested positive for Covid-19.
