Foetus Rescued From a Pit Latrine in Kabartonjo

On Wednesday, Police officers in Kabartonjo rescued foetus thrown into a pit latrine after a 15 year old dumped them after an abortion.

The local Assistant Chief, Joshua Kiptosok, had filed a report concerning the same and officers had to demolish the pit latrine in a bid to retrieve the foetus.

However, the officers realized that there were two infants immersed in the human waste.

The operation attracted a good number of locals who were curious to witness the heartbreaking scene as the infants were retrieved.

The two infants were rushed to Bartabwa Health Center in Kabartonjo. Unfortunately one was declared dead and the other one taken to Baringo County Referral Hospital for further treatment.

It’s also reported the suspect was arrested and will be arraigned for her crime in strict adherence to the law.

This came in a time where there have been rising cases of defilement and minors attempting suicide.
