Footballer Kevin Oliech Succumbs To Cancer

Former Kenyan International and Nantes striker, Dennis Oliech’s younger brother, Kevin Oliech has passed on at the age of 33. He was also former Mathare United player.

Kevin succumbed to Cancer yesterday in Germany. It is said he has been ailing for a long time and was undergoing treatment in Germany under the care of his brother Ken Oliech.

He also played for for German fifth tier side KFC Uerdingen 05 and second-tier Alemannia Aachen before retiring.

His former team members sent their condolences to his family.

We would like to send our deepest condolences to the Oliech family following the passing on of Kevin Oliech on Sunday evening. Kevin, who is brother to Dennis Oliech and Andrew Oyombe, was part of the Mathare United squad that won the 2008 KPL title. May he Rest in Peace.” read the tweet.

His brother also took to social media to mourn his brother

Kevin Opiyo Oliech. I will always love you. you did fight it for long like a lion you can rest now. Till we meet again,’ he posted.
