Governors have turned down the return to work formula for doctors which was struck with the Ministry of Health following President Uhuru’s intervention a week ago.
In a statement issued, the council of governors criticized the deal which was signed 11 days ago bringing the doctor’s strike to an end.
The legislators said they were not well consulted on the matter noting that each county ought to have been involved in the discussion and final decision.
The council further claimed there was no budgetary allocation to cater for the return to work formula especially in the current state of the nation. They stated they required a special grant to honor the agreement.
The doctors had called for a strike nationwide which threatened to disable health operations and whose pinch had been felt by the citizens at large.
