Black Panther’s star Chadwick Boseman is dead. He succumbed to colon cancer at the age of 43. It is said he has been battling cancer since 2016.
Boseman died at his home in the Los Angeles area with his wife and family by his side. “It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman,” said a family member.
Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016 and has battled with it the last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV.
A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so mUch” , read a statement from his family.
“From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more — all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy. It was the honor of his career to bring King T’Challa to life in Black Panther.”
Many famous people have mourned him and sent condolences to his family.
Chadwick rose to fame when he cast as Black Panther in numerous movies set in the Marvel universse movies including; Avengers: Endgame; Captain America: Civil War; and Black Panther.
